Furniture Made from used Crates by Peveto

The genesis of the office furniture project began much like the inception of PEVETO itself, as a shared vision to revolutionize the ways they previously conducted business. When they noticed a glut of used crates being thrown away and clients with used crates cluttering their homes, they thought it was the perfect resource to innovate. What began with bookshelves and filing cabinets eventually gave way to an entire suite of furniture, complete with coffee table, side table, chair and yes, a bar cart. The design objective was to add as little in the way of material as possible to achieve a functional and elegant product. The most commonly added materials are a couple of feet of 2x2 or 2x4 pine to elevate the undersides and table tops to desirable heights; all other materials are reused from the crate itself. Of course each piece of furniture is as sturdy as the original shipping crate.
